Cellboy is deploying Anchanto’s cloud-based order management system across more than 200 stores in the Philippines, linking physical retail locations with warehouse operations and online sales channels through a central inventory and transaction layer.
The electronics retailer already uses a warehouse management system inside its distribution operation, but visibility beyond the warehouse has remained more fragmented. Store-level transactions were processed locally and subsequently reconciled, leaving a delay before the business could establish an updated view of stock across its wider network.
Anchanto’s Order Management System is being introduced to synchronise transactions from purchase through to fulfilment and connect warehouse, store, and ecommerce activity. The deployment is intended to give Cellboy a more current inventory position while reducing manual data entry and reconciliation between channels.
Cellboy has operated for 17 years and has expanded to more than 200 stores nationally. At that scale, inventory can sit in a central warehouse, individual branches, transfer movements, returns processes, or orders already allocated to customers. A central stock figure has limited value unless each of those states is reflected quickly enough to prevent inventory being promised twice or replenishment being triggered against an outdated position.

The problem extends beyond displaying an accurate quantity on an ecommerce page. A warehouse management system can provide detailed control inside a distribution centre, but its view becomes incomplete when hundreds of stores also hold saleable stock and online orders may be fulfilled through several possible locations.
An order management layer sits above those individual sites, taking demand from sales channels and matching it against the stock recorded across the network. Anchanto’s platform supports central order and inventory management, with routing rules capable of assigning fulfilment according to inventory position, location, warehouse priority, and other configured criteria.
That creates the possibility of treating stores as part of the wider fulfilment network rather than only as endpoints receiving replenishment from a warehouse. Accurate store-level information can support inter-store transfers, replenishment decisions, click-and-collect processes, or online fulfilment from selected locations where the commercial and operating model justifies it.
The underlying transaction quality remains critical. Apparently simple inventory numbers can be distorted by returns awaiting inspection, orders already allocated but not dispatched, damaged stock, goods moving between stores, and sales that have taken place locally but have not yet reached the central system.
Delayed reconciliation can therefore produce two different versions of the same network: the physical stock actually sitting in warehouses and shops, and the inventory that central systems believe remains available. Reducing the time between those two positions narrows the opportunity for overselling and unnecessary stock transfers.
Anchanto’s OMS is designed to maintain a central view of available, low, and unavailable inventory while integrating with marketplaces, point-of-sale systems, webstores, warehouses, and logistics providers. Cellboy is retaining its existing warehouse management capability, so the new platform functions as an orchestration layer rather than replacing every operating system underneath it.
That approach limits disruption to established warehouse processes. The WMS can continue controlling activity inside the hub while the OMS handles the wider question of where inventory exists, which site should fulfil demand, and how each transaction is represented across the network.
Integration becomes more demanding as the number of systems grows. A store point-of-sale system, ecommerce platform, warehouse application, courier interface, and finance system may each represent orders and stock differently, creating scope for duplicate records or timing differences when data is transferred between them.
Anchanto says its wider platform connects with more than 200 logistics providers, marketplaces, and commerce systems. The value of those interfaces is less in their number than in whether Cellboy can use them to remove bespoke manual processes between its own operating systems.
The rollout also shifts some responsibility from end-of-day reconciliation towards transaction discipline at the point of activity. If a return is not processed correctly, a transfer remains open, or local stock adjustments are delayed, the central system can still display an inaccurate position despite updating in real time.
Cycle counting, returns handling, damaged-stock procedures, and transfer controls therefore remain physical operating disciplines. Software can propagate a correct transaction more quickly, but it can also propagate an incorrect one across every connected channel with the same efficiency.
With more than 200 stores involved, the scale of the network should give Cellboy enough transaction volume to expose those weaknesses quickly. The practical measure will be whether the company can reduce manual reconciliation, improve stock availability, and cut the number of orders affected by inventory discrepancies without creating a heavier exception-management workload elsewhere.
The deployment replaces a clearly identified delay in Cellboy’s existing operation: information that previously waited for manual reconciliation can now move with the transaction. The technology will be judged less by the dashboard it produces than by whether warehouse, stores, and digital channels begin working from the same stock position throughout the trading day.
