IN Brief:
- GEODIS has secured ISO, CEIV Pharma, and GDP milestones in Switzerland in less than six months.
- The certifications strengthen temperature-controlled, traceable handling for pharmaceutical and healthcare shipments.
- Office expansion in Zurich, Basel, and Geneva broadens the company’s Swiss operating footprint.
GEODIS has strengthened its healthcare logistics position in Switzerland after securing three key certifications in less than six months and expanding its office network across the country. The move gives the company a firmer operational footing in one of Europe’s most important life sciences markets, where compliance, traceability, and temperature control remain central to contract retention and growth.
The company said it had obtained ISO, CEIV Pharma, and GDP certifications covering its pharmaceutical and healthcare logistics activities in Switzerland. GEODIS said the framework supports strict regulatory compliance, temperature-controlled handling, and full traceability for pharmaceutical shipments. Its wider quality management structure also includes ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 across core activities including worldwide freight management, project logistics, and supply chain solutions.
Alongside the certification work, GEODIS has relocated and expanded its offices in Zurich and Basel and opened a new office in Geneva. The company said the changes were intended to support closer collaboration between teams and improve service coverage across the Swiss market. In practical terms, that gives GEODIS a stronger national platform for healthcare and life sciences accounts while also supporting adjacent sectors including retail, FMCG, and project logistics.
David Erismann, managing director, freight forwarding, GEODIS in Switzerland, said: “These recent developments reflect our ambition to further cement GEODIS’ position in Switzerland and to support our customers in key sectors such as Healthcare, Retail, FMCG and Project Logistics.” He added that the combination of certifications, organisational structure, and expanded presence would strengthen the company’s ability to deliver compliant and reliable logistics services in regulated supply chains.
