Aviro360 integrates multi-site yard visibility

Aviro360 has introduced unified visibility across multiple industrial logistics yards. Its expanded interface combines gate, inventory and security events without replacing existing operational systems.

IN Brief:

  • A single interface gives authorised users access to physical yard activity across multiple facilities.
  • Computer vision and automated data collection feed existing YMS, TMS, WMS and security systems.
  • Reported gate-speed, automation and accuracy figures are deployment-specific, not independently verified service levels.

Aviro360 has expanded its yard visibility software into a unified environment intended for operators managing anything from one logistics yard to a large network of terminals and distribution sites. Announced on 20 October, the system brings gate automation, equipment inventory information, security events and AI-assisted workflows into a common interface. Authorised personnel can move between facilities using a single login, while local operational data continues to feed existing logistics and enterprise applications rather than requiring every site to replace its underlying systems.

Transport appointments, gate records and warehouse schedules can disagree when a trailer changes position without a corresponding digital event. A transport management system may show that a load has arrived, while the warehouse still needs to establish where the equipment is parked, whether documents have been validated and when the driver can reach a loading door. Those gaps produce manual searches, radio calls and corrections to inventory and yard records. Aviro360 says its revised environment captures physical activity as it happens and makes the resulting information visible to authorised staff across sites.

The system combines data from gate checkpoints, inventory monitoring and security equipment, using computer vision, automated event capture and edge processing to build a more current picture of a facility. An observed gate movement can be associated with an asset record; subsequent yard movements can update its position; and a failed validation or missing document can be presented as an exception. This approach requires more than a graphical dashboard. Asset identities, timestamps and site references must be consistent if information collected at a camera or checkpoint is to be useful to a warehouse management system or transport planner.

The expanded system connects with yard management systems (YMS), transport management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning software and security platforms. These applications have different responsibilities: transport systems plan freight movements and appointments; warehouse software controls goods and dock operations; yard systems coordinate vehicles and trailer positions. Aviro360 describes its platform as adding observed and verified activity to those existing records, rather than replacing every transactional system. Responsibility for approving gate access, changing a dock booking or correcting an inventory record therefore depends on the workflow and interface implemented at each facility.

Across applicable deployments and workflows, the company reports gate processing times below 15 seconds, automation of more than 95% of eligible gate events and inventory accuracy above 98%. These are vendor-reported examples, not a universal service level for the expanded software. Eligibility matters because some transactions require driver assistance, manual documentation or additional safety and security checks. The company has not disclosed a common test protocol, a breakdown by site type, or a comparison showing that every participating location achieves those measures after upgrading to the new interface.

The revised system adds multi-site access alongside exception management for problems such as missing documentation, failed validations and asset discrepancies. Role-based dashboards and permissions allow a security team, yard supervisor or logistics planner to see a different operational view. Natural-language querying is also offered, so users can request information about activity and receive recommendations tied to operational records. The usefulness of any recommendation depends on record quality and on whether the software distinguishes a confirmed observation from an inferred or stale position. Human operators remain responsible for decisions affecting movements and access.

Large logistics networks rarely use identical operating rules at every gate. One depot may track container chassis individually, while another records trailers by carrier and appointment; access controls, cameras and naming conventions may also vary. Consolidating their activity in one interface depends on consistent asset identifiers, time stamps and exception categories, alongside rules for correcting contradictory records. Aviro360 offers switching between facilities from one login, but has not reported a standard integration time, a uniform hardware requirement or the costs of bringing a mixed estate onto the upgraded system.

The company says its installed technology processes more than 250,000 operational events per day. That figure describes the scale of its existing data collection activity; it is not a statement that the newly expanded product has already been rolled out across hundreds of customer yards. Aviro360 was developed within ConGlobal, a container depot and terminal operator, giving the system an operational origin in environments where equipment and containers circulate between gate, yard and service areas. The announcement does not identify a new named customer, the number of upgraded sites or a commercial launch price.

A missed identification at an entrance can propagate into several downstream systems when it is accepted as correct, while a movement not captured inside the yard can leave a trailer displayed in the wrong location. The expanded platform will depend on reliable local sensing and connectivity, timely validation and a method for people to resolve those discrepancies. Its multi-site functions are now being offered, but Aviro360 has not identified the number of customer sites upgraded to the new interface or independently measured their performance after rollout.
